How Virela Inc. handles information across our website, evaluations, and customer services.
Information we collect
Virela Inc. collects information you provide through our website, including your name, work email, organization, role, software systems, workflow interests, and message. Our hosting and security providers may also process technical information such as browser type, device information, IP address, pages visited, and timestamps.
Please do not submit patient information or other protected health information through our public website forms.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, arrange demonstrations, evaluate potential workflows, operate and secure the website, improve our services, prevent abuse, and comply with law. We do not sell personal information.
Healthcare and protected information
This website is not intended to collect protected health information. When Virela provides services that involve protected health information on behalf of a healthcare customer, Virela enters into a Business Associate Agreement when required and handles that information under the applicable agreement, customer instructions, and law.
Customers remain responsible for determining when information may lawfully be provided to Virela and for configuring appropriate access, notices, consents, and workflow rules.
Voice and electronic communications
Depending on a customer’s configured services, Virela may process call metadata, recordings, transcripts, messages, scheduling details, and information displayed in customer software. The applicable customer agreement and Business Associate Agreement govern this processing. Customers are responsible for required notices and consents for recording, calling, messaging, and other communications.
How we share information
We may share information with service providers that help us host, secure, communicate, and operate our business; with professional advisers; in connection with a corporate transaction; or when required to comply with law or protect rights and safety. We do not permit service providers to use information for unrelated purposes.
Retention and your choices
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, to maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Customer workflow data retention is governed by the applicable customer agreement and Business Associate Agreement.
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information you submitted to us, subject to legal and operational exceptions. You may also ask us to stop non-essential communications. Privacy rights vary by jurisdiction.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Customers should not provide production access or protected information until the appropriate agreements and security review are complete.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will post the revised version here with a new effective date.
